D&D Optional Mechanics - Gruesome Combat

The rules and mechanics in this book are intended for use with Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition.

This book contains various mechanics intended to emphasize the brutality of combat. One strike can be enough to disable or even fatally wound your opponent. The main purpose of this is to provide more options for martial characters, extending upon the simpler combat seen in the core sourcebooks.

As with all the rules in this game, decisions are made through agreements between players and their DM. The rules as written are merely there to facilitate storytelling and roleplaying.
